A Partner You Can Trust

About Holman-Howe Funeral Homes

Founded by W.E. and Willie Jane Holman and operated by Dorsey M. Howe in Lebanon, Mo., Holman-Howe Funeral Homes have been serving families throughout Southwest Missouri since 1933. After the Holmans retired, ownership of the funeral home passed to Dorsey and Bethel Howe, and eventually their son Kenneth and his wife, Valerie. Holman-Howe purchased the Hartville location in 1989, Manfield and Seymour in 1996, Camdeton in 2000, and the Bolivar location in 2008. Mount Rose Memorial Park joined the Holman-Howe family in 1998.

When it came time to select a preneed partner, Kenneth Howe had some concerns that needed to be addressed.

The President and CEO of Holman-Howe Funeral Homes and 2012 American Funeral Director magazine Funeral Director of the Year wasn’t going to entrust the future of his family business to just anyone. Finding a preneed provider that he could absolutely trust to represent his firm warmly, accurately, and professionally to families throughout Southwest Missouri was critical.

One visit to Precoa’s Funeral Planning Center in Portland, Ore. was all it took to give Howe total peace of mind. He saw first-hand how the caring professionals in the Planning Center interacted with families all across America.

“I was so impressed with how they were handling [the calls],” he said. “I realized that nothing was going to be said on my behalf that I was going to be ashamed of and that made a very strong statement to us.”

It didn’t take long after signing with Precoa for Holman-Howe to see an immediate boost in prearrangements, bolstered by a ProActive marketing strategy that allowed the firm to reach new families in its market.

“I realized they were touching a part of our market share that I didn't even know was out there,” Howe said.

Meanwhile, the staff experienced the unrivaled customer service and personal attention that makes a Precoa partnership a lasting partnership.

“I have never been with a company that was as interested in making sure that we’re pleased with the job they’re doing,” Howe said. “That means a lot to me.”
